Privacy Policy
How GlobeDuel handles local progress and optional Apple services.
Overview
Effective 16 September 2026
GlobeDuel is provided by Mateusz Zając. It requires no GlobeDuel account, shows no ads, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not sell personal data. There are no in-app purchases in this version.
Data stored on your device
Practice history, journey progress and stars, daily and weekly challenge results, and related preferences are stored locally on your iPhone. GlobeDuel does not operate an app account, iCloud sync, or a game server of its own. Deleting the app removes this local data. Restoring a device backup follows your Apple settings.
Apple Maps and Look Around
Each round requests a fresh Look Around scene and map tiles from Apple using authored coordinates in the game catalog. GlobeDuel does not request access to your device’s location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts, or advertising identifier. It does not read GPS to decide the panorama. Apple processes map requests under the Apple Privacy Policy.
Game Center
Game Center is optional. Practice and journeys work without it. If you sign in, GlobeDuel can send eligible scores, challenge attempts, and duel results to Apple and display names, rankings, and friend information supplied by Game Center. Matchmaking uses Apple’s identity. You can play solo without enabling Game Center.
SharePlay
If you start a FaceTime SharePlay duel, GlobeDuel exchanges small game messages through Apple’s Group Activities session. It does not send panorama imagery, map tiles, or a recording of the call to the developer. SharePlay follows your FaceTime and Apple Account settings.
Diagnostics, advertising, and this website
GlobeDuel does not include a third-party analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or purchase SDK. It does not use the advertising identifier.
These pages are hosted on GitHub Pages and load their typeface from Google Fonts. Those providers receive ordinary network information needed to deliver a webpage and font files. Website visits are separate from the app. See the GitHub Privacy Statement and Google Fonts privacy information.
Support mail, retention, and questions
If you email support, we receive your address and whatever you include so we can answer. Please do not send passwords or other sensitive data. We keep correspondence only as needed to handle the request.
Where applicable law gives you privacy rights, contact matteo.zajac@gmail.com. Because GlobeDuel does not operate personal app accounts, we may not be able to connect anonymous Apple service data to an individual. Material changes to this policy will appear here with a new effective date.
