Terms of Use
The rules for using Cooking Up, iCloud, imports, and wait-state ads.
Overview
Effective 17 September 2026
Cooking Up is licensed for personal use on iPhone. By downloading or using the app, you agree to use it lawfully and in accordance with these terms and the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These notes do not limit rights you have under applicable consumer law.
Access, ads, and price
Cooking Up is free to download. This version has no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Features that use iCloud, webpage import, Apple Intelligence, Private Cloud Compute, or later advertising depend on Apple’s services, your Apple Account, network access, and regional availability.
Wait-state advertisements will be shown shortly in reserved slots during cook-timer waits and on-device recipe import. They will not cover the current cook instruction or ingredient list. Live ads are not serving in this first store build. A later optional purchase may hide those ads; it is not offered yet. Continuing to use the app after live ads ship constitutes acceptance of that advertising as described in the privacy policy.
Your library
You are responsible for the recipes, notes, photos, and links you add. Import only material you have the right to use. Cooking Up is a personal kitchen notebook. It does not provide medical, nutrition, allergen, or food-safety advice. Review imported drafts before you cook. Timers and alarms help you watch a wait; they are not a substitute for attending to food on the stove.
Sharing sends an independent copy. The recipient’s later changes do not write back to your library. Personal notes are excluded from a shared package unless you include them.
Updates and support
Features, compatibility, advertising, and optional purchases may change through app updates. Material changes to these terms will appear here with a new effective date. For bugs or legal questions, contact matteo.zajac@gmail.com.
